Jones Act Seaman Qualification Requirements

To be qualified as a seaman a person must meet the following criteria:

  • Be Assigned to a "vessel" that navigates on a waterway
  • The person's job contributes to the operation of said vessel.
  • The contribution must occur over a significant period of time.
